fall foliage in mont tremblant

Mont Tremblant is famous for its gorgeous autumn foliage. The leaves begin to change colour in September, and by October the whole mountain is a riot of reds, oranges, and yellows. It’s simply stunning. The area is home to many quaint villages and charming farmers markets, making it the perfect place to enjoy a traditional Canadian autumn experience. And there are so many activities to enjoy during this time!

Here are just a few of our favourites:

1. Take in the fall foliage on a panoramic gondola ride

Looking for an unforgettable way to experience the beauty of Mont Tremblant? Then be sure to check out the panoramic gondola ride! This unique attraction offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests, as well as the picturesque Laurentian Lakes. The ride itself is smooth and comfortable, making it perfect for all ages. And best of all, the gondola is enclosed, so you can enjoy the views even on days when the weather isn’t ideal.

Opening dates: September 6th – October 16th

2. Go on an illuminated night walk through the forest

The Tonga Lumina is an amazing attraction in Mont Tremblant. It is a walking adventure through the woods at night, lit up by thousands of lights and lanterns. The experience is like nothing else, and it is perfect for families or groups of friends. The best part of the Tonga Lumina is that it is completely safe and easy to do. There are no dark corners or scary surprises, just a beautiful trail to follow. And because it is entirely outdoors, you can enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of nature as you walk.

Opening dates: September 9th – October 15th

3. Take the kids for a traditional Halloween experience

You’ll want to pack a costume for this one! On the last Saturday of October, the Pedestrian Village of Mont Tremblant transforms into a Halloween haven. The streets are lined with candy stands and the air is filled with spooky excitement. Costumed children roam the streets in search of candy, while adults enjoy taking part in the festive atmosphere. This charming village with its beautiful fall foliage is the perfect backdrop to get you into the holiday spirit.

4. Enjoy the great outdoors

With the cooler temperatures and beautiful scenery, fall is the perfect time to spend outdoors. Visitors can enjoy activities like hiking or biking amidst the radiant colours of the leaves. You can even still enjoy kayaking or canoeing at this time of year, since the lakes aren’t too chilly yet, so it’s a great time to go for a paddle. And you’ll get to see the leaves from a whole new perspective!

5. Get up close with wildlife at the Birds of Prey Show

Looking for something a little more daring? Look no further than the Birds of Prey Show. These are some of the most majestic birds in the world, so seeing them up close is simply awe-inspiring. Learn all about the different species as they soar right above your head. If you’re brave, you’ll also have the opportunity to feed these amazing animals and let them land on your arm. Definitely an experience you won’t forget anytime soon!
